The Argenteuil MRC

Overlapping the upper and lower Laurentians, where east is separated from west by a series of rounded hills, the Argenteuil territory presents a contrast of forms. It is located southwest of the Laurentians, approximately 80 km from Montreal and 130 km from Gatineau-Ottawa. (As an aside, an MRC is a "regional county municipality".)

The Argenteuil MRC (argenteuil.qc.ca) brings together nine municipalities crisscrossed by scenic roads where the gentle and the spectacular form a harmonious contrast. In addition to its open countryside, it includes large forests, more than 450 sparkling lakes, wide rivers...plus all the services of a big city, largely located in Lachute.
